Art Camp

NEW! Don't miss Oversahdowed's first Art Camp where you will learn the fundamentals of art and gain experience with different mediums. Opportunities will come alive at this camp were you will be able to:

  • Explore artistic mediums like charcoal, oil painting, linocuts, clay and more
  • Develop your interests and abilities in art
  • Receive art supplies for the camp and beyond
  • Experience interactive teaching sessions in a small class setting
  • Learn to appreciate, analyze, and make art
  • Make memories through art and friendships

Includes sessions in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpting.

Display your pieces on Friday evening in a showcase exhibition

The camp will be taught by Carlton Riffel, who will be a senior studio art major this fall with a concentration in two-dimensional art. He has a passion for teaching and making art. Carlton has experience in illustration, design, and photography. He has finished advanced classes in all of the mediums he will be teaching and he is looking forward to sharing what he has learned with the students at camp.

The camp is limited to 15 students, so register before it is too late!

WHO CAN COME?

Anyone who is 14-18 years old.

July 19 - 23, 2009
M-F – 9am to 4pm
(lunch is not provided; students should bring a sack lunch)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The fee to attend the camp is $225. This includes $75 worth of art supplies that are necessary for the camp. Multiple discounts are available – see the application form for details.

Theatre Camps

Join us this summer for a unique camp experience that you won't want to miss! At Overshadowed Summer theater camps, you will:

  • Learn more about the theatrical arts

Both camps will be held at our performance venue at 210 S. Walnut Street in historic downtown Itasca.

WHO CAN COME?

Anyone who is 11-18 years old.

CAMP 2: August 9-18 • M-F • 9am to 4pm

Performing: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
August 19-21 - 7:30pm, August 21 - 2pm Matinee
